General Care

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading or dryness.

• Avoid placing heavy items on top of the bag to keep the weave from flattening.

• To preserve the bag’s natural shape, store or rest it on its side, not upright.

Reshaping & Softening the Elephant Grass

Elephant grass naturally becomes firm or slightly crunched with use — this is normal for authentic Bolga bags.

• Lightly spritz the bag with water, focusing on stiff or misshapen areas.

• Water softens the fibres and helps the bag return to its natural shape.

• After dampening, gently reshape the bag with your hands.

• Allow it to air dry naturally in a shaded area; do not use direct heat or full sun.

Cleaning

• Spot clean only. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the woven areas.

• For deeper cleaning, use cold water sparingly and avoid soaking the bag.

• Allow the bag to dry completely before storing.

Important Notes

• Slight variations in shape, colour, and weave are part of the beauty of handcrafted bags.

• Excessive water exposure may loosen the leather handles (if applicable), so avoid fully wetting those areas.
